This Privacy Policy explains what information videodown.app ("VideoDown", "we") collects when you use the Service, operated by TAPI Technology Global Limited.
1. What we don't collect
- No accounts. The Service requires no registration, so we never collect names, emails or passwords.
- No stored files. Media resolves on the fly and downloads directly to your device. We do not store downloaded files on our servers.
- No download history tied to you. We do not build profiles of what individual users download.
2. What we do process
- Pasted links. The link you paste is sent to our server only to resolve the media, then discarded after processing.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our infrastructure keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention and debugging. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand overall traffic (page views, country-level location). Aggregated data cannot identify you.
3. Cookies
The Service uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, plus optional analytics cookies where applicable. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
4. Third-party platforms
When the Service resolves a link, it fetches publicly available data from the relevant platform (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent any data. Technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) strictly to operate the Service, or disclosed if required by law.
6. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we retain almost no personal data, most requests can be answered immediately — contact us at the address below.
